Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded?
Not in the default browser mode: conversion and text recognition happen on your device. Only the optional Better layout mode uploads your PDF temporarily, and it's deleted as soon as the conversion is done.
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
Yes. Scanned pages are read with OCR in your browser, in the language you choose. Check names and numbers afterwards, since recognition depends on the scan quality.
Will the Word file look exactly like the PDF?
PDFs don't contain paragraphs or tables, only positioned text, so the converter rebuilds them. You get editable headings, paragraphs, tables and images, but spacing and line breaks can differ from the original.
