How to convert Word to PDF

  1. Choose your document. Drop a .docx, .doc, .odt or .rtf file on the page.
  2. Convert. Select Upload and convert. The document is converted to PDF on our server.
  3. Download. Download the PDF. Your document and the PDF are deleted from our server straight away.

Frequently asked questions

Why does this tool upload my file?

Converting Word documents needs LibreOffice, which can't run in a browser. Your file is uploaded to temporary storage, converted, and deleted as soon as the conversion finishes; the PDF is deleted once your browser has downloaded it.

Which formats are supported?

Word (.docx, .doc and templates), OpenDocument Text (.odt, .ott) and Rich Text (.rtf), up to 25 MB.

Will my fonts be kept?

Common fonts are matched with metric-compatible substitutes, so layout stays close to the original. Rare or custom fonts may be replaced with a similar font.
